FastTrack Legacy Documentation

You're on FastTrack's legacy documentation site. This site hosts reference docs for our older products — FT4web, FT Cloud, and Market Data API v1. Documentation for the current FastTrack platform and the Market Data API v2 lives at support.fasttrack.net.

The short version

If you arrived here looking for help with FastTrack, the modern browser-based platform — you want support.fasttrack.net instead. The pages on this site cover products in extended-support mode that we are no longer actively developing.

If you are a current FT4web, FT Cloud, or v1 API user, the documentation below is still maintained and accurate for those products. We strongly recommend planning a transition to the current platform when it's practical for your workflow.

About FastTrack

FastTrack provides institutional-grade market data and portfolio analytics to RIAs, family offices, and quality-focused individual investors. Since 1989, our customers have trusted FastTrack's verified, dividend-adjusted data — spanning every major market cycle since the late 1980s — as the foundation for long-term portfolio construction.

The company now serves customers managing $150B+ in assets across multiple product lines. Three of those product lines have moved to a modern, browser-based architecture and live at support.fasttrack.net. The three older products are documented here.

What's documented on this site

FT4web — Windows Desktop Application

Charting, ranking, and analysis software for Windows. Last major release in 2019. Still operational with daily data updates, but we recommend migrating to the browser-based FastTrack platform — Windows compatibility for older-style installers is becoming progressively more restrictive.

FT Cloud — Browser-based Portfolio Analysis

Predecessor to the modern FastTrack platform. Still operational for existing customers; new feature development has moved to the FastTrack App.

Market Data API v1 — Original REST API

The original FastTrack data API. Operational for existing integrations. All new development should target Market Data API v2.

Where to go next

If you're an existing legacy customer: Use the navigation to find the documentation for your product. The reference material here is accurate and maintained.

If you're planning to upgrade: Start at support.fasttrack.net — the welcome page maps the current products and how to get started. Migration support is available; we routinely walk customers through their FT4web or FT Cloud workflow on the phone, and most transitions take a single call.

If you're new to FastTrack: Skip this site entirely. Start at support.fasttrack.net and sign up for the current platform.
